International Experts from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy will discuss Innovations in Clinical Pharmacy Services.
The GCC Pharmaceutical Congress will start next week from 14-17 September 2014 in Amwaj Rotana Hotel - Dubai, the leading congress organised by Maarefah Management, the world-class events company, in partnership with Emirates Medical Association, Dubai Biotechnology & Research Park (DuBiotech), and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), Executive Board, Health Ministers' Council for Cooperation Council States, Oman Pharmaceutical Society and Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research, Ministry of Health.
Well-known experts from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), will conduct a symposium during the congress, focusing on patient-centered services provided by clinical pharmacists and outcomes of such services, exploring the currently marketed pharmacologic options for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, summarizing the most up-to-date recommendations for the optimal management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, and identifying the effectiveness of services and activities that advance clinical pharmacy practice and optimize patient outcomes.
"The symposium goal is to provide an overview of the pharmacist role in the provision of direct patient care and the impact of clinical pharmacist. Diabetes Mellitus, a major and rising health concern in the region, will be used as the illustrative area of practice". said Dr. Wafa Y. Dahdal, Pharm.D., BCPS, Director of International Programs, Associate Director of Professional Development, American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
