MHRA has announced a consultation (MLX388) is asking for the comments on proposals to amend the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 so that Public Health England (PHE) can develop and authorize Patient Group Directions (PGDs).

The changes to the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 will strengthen the response to outbreaks of infectious disease and other incidents by extending the use of PGDs to staff employed by Public Health England.
